WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES!!!!! as quoted by the Queen

Ah all the QUEEN can say on this SUNDAY is how glad I am that it is the 27th and not the 20th.
WHY? you ask??
Because One week ago, I was preparing for surgery. You know the routine, NO WATER after MIDNIGHT
Well, of course, I drifted into sleepyland and snoozed for a while only to awaken to discover the clock said 12:15!!!!!
OH NO!! I missed my chance, my last chance to guzzle down the refreshing water.
When you cannot have it, that is when your mind says YOU MUST HAVE A SWALLOW—you are thirsty, your mouth is dry, your lips are parched, you NEED just a little bit of water.
BUT NO, I must talk myself out of it because no matter how thirsty I am, just even a few drops of water will not be a big enough pleasure to offset the nausea after the surgery from not obeying the rules and procedures ordered by the Physician and the hospital.
So I put on a CD with soothing music to lull me back into drowsy land. IT worked, because before I knew it, the clock radio was singing some new tunes that said it is “time to rise and shine.”
Having been an obedient patient before arriving it didn’t seem fair that the first thing they did was STICK me with an IV. Well,
It was a BLOWOUT—at least that is what the nurse called it.
That was the second BLOWOUT FOR ME THIS WEEK. the first one was when the golfer and I went out for our early morning bicycle ride. We were on what is usually an easy road to ride and suddenly the road was slowing me down and the bike was soooo hard to pedal and that is when I realized the back tire was going DOWN. Well, what had intended to be a 5 mile ride that day turned out to be about 3.5 of riding miles and the rest was a slow walk, guiding the wheels back home.
That blowout was fixed that day by the Dr.---- well, the bicycle specialist in town.
So my bike had surgery before I did.
But the effects of the blowout on me at the hospital are still visible on my arm nearly one week later.

This is located on the arm just below the elbow
They believe the theory, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. and they did
They moved to a vein on my hand just above my wrist

Did some damage there too!!! I was beginning to pray that this was not a SIGN that the actual surgery was going to be rough!! And/or surrounded with mistakes or BLOWOUTS!!!!
Now on to the surgery ????
Oh no, I will spare you those pictures--- (laughing) I know that you are relieved about that ---
But it IS A LOVELY SITE since it seems that I am allergic to some of the tape they used and I am battling BLISTERS!!!! As well as the incision that is trying to heal!
but let’s just say that we are REJOICING that the report came back BENIGN and so I add, what are a few little bruises when you get a good report like that?
---Yes, I am glad it is this week and not last week. what a difference a day makes! and WHAT A DIFFERENCE A WEEK MAKES!
