What a difference a day makes- part 2

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES- PART 2 from the QUEEN

When the calendar is opened to June, most girls dream of THE SPECIAL DAY. Yes, there are more weddings in the month of June than any other month. Making it a very special month.

Well, it is special to me, not because of brides, but because of another word that starts with B----
BIRTHDAY. What an exciting time. YOUR DAY, your own special day.

On the day that I was born all the way across the world, the headline news read:

Germans launch Operation Blue
Sunday, June 28

With the war , Dad was in the service as were most young men in our country. He was on the flight line here in the states and under one of the bombers that was about to leave the base when they gave the signal TOO SOON. Dad and 2 others could not get out from under the plane fast enough and the plane ran over his leg/ankle. An injury that was a source of pain throughout the rest of his life. Well, he was taken to one hospital and about the same time, Mom being in labor, was taken to another hospital. So dad missed out on my entrance to this world. However, I really believe that MOM got the best deal that day. ~~~~ME~~~~!!!!

History reports that One famous person is listed as being born on this day:
David Minor, an American rock musician and record producer

Sorry, I never heard of him, and of course, he never heard of me either!!
Well this famous rock musician was born that day, but this humble musician/organist was born also. I don’t ever want to take my talent for granted, I am always reminded of how blessed I am to be able to express so many things thru the gift of MUSIC.
I am enjoying using my talent now but I also realize that this is one profession that will also be utilized in eternity—you know we are told that there is singing and praising in heaven. I am singing and praising NOW, practicing you know!!

Yes, as the calendar turns to the month of June in the year 2010, I am grateful for another YEAR of life and for my family --both the ones that I grew up with, and the three that God gave to me and the golfer (also called Music Man). We are both grateful for the grandchildren that number 11 now!!! We have been so blessed.

Birthdays are for remembering, I remember my parents who sacrificed so much to provide for us, but also for the Christian heritage that they gave me.

What a difference a day makes and what a difference another year makes! Until the next time you check out the 2 sisters page, I shall try to stay in control of things in this life but you can know that I will most definitely remain THE QUEEN regardless!!
